Marc Marquez falls but Pecco Bagnaia fails to go beyond third place in Jerez de La Frontera.

In addition to Alex Marquez’s Team Gresini Ducati, the two-time MotoGP world champion also finished behind Fabio Quartararo’s Yamaha. After the race Bagnaia expressed all his bitterness despite the podium.

“I struggled a lot, I didn’t have the 11 and 12: they are my strong point and I couldn’t exploit them, I was losing to Fabio there. Alex, on the other hand, had them. Every time I got closer I had to leave because on the front it was risky. I don”t like these races because to try to avoid mistakes I don”t put myself in a position to get close”.

“Today was a good day to earn points, the bike had the potential to be in front of the Yamaha. I am not happy”, admitted Bagnaia.

“Alex can force a lot on the front, I was struggling. For now it goes like this, every time you get close on the front it closes on you, today it happened to the eight, to the eleven to the twelve to the five. This way you have to stay more in protection, you don”t feel free to let go.

Bagnaia consoles himself with the podium: “It&#8217s a time when you have to collect; I&#8217m trying to bring home where I went wrong last year. It is important to complete everything; I am aware that when I find myself at 100 percent I can try to win and fight”.
