From the triplete dream to the nightmare zero titles. The third consecutive defeat in the space of a week has turned expectations and the mood at Inter upside down. And despite the Curva’s supportive chants at the end of the match lost to Roma, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi acknowledges the problems.

“In the first half we didn&#8217t play a game together as we are used to. We were a bit’long and we paid for it – his words in the press conference -. The boys put everything they had on the field. The fans also understood and appreciated it, it was very nice the final applause. It does not make us forget this bad defeat, now we have to think about the next game”. And Inzaghi does not get into the refereeing talk: “Right now we must not think about throw-ins, penalties, punishments. We must keep our heads on the field”.

.

Also because the next match will not be just any match, but the’first leg of the Champions League semifinal at home to Barcelona. “Everything is needed now: rest, freshness, recovering players. I don&#8217t know if Thuram will be there. At this moment it would not be appropriate to talk about what could be –continued the coach. We have to move forward. We should be good at playing a game d’together and we will play it with a lot of respect but with no fear”.

Same message that Carlos Augusto also wanted to get across. “We lacked a little bit’of lucidity to take advantage of the chances we created. There are so many close games, however, I don–t like to have alibis,– he added in a press conference. It&#8217s a defeat that stings, but on Wednesday we have another game. We have to see what we did wrong today, have more lucidity and be ready for Wednesday”. We will also banish the fear of zero headlines. “There is no fear, being in April and fighting for important things is the greatest thing, you can&#8217t be afraid of losing. We have a chance to win extraordinary things”, concluded the Brazilian outfielder.
