It’s been an all’consistent start to the season for George Russell, who has scored as many as three podiums in the first five rounds. Speaking at the microphones of the “New York Times”, the Mercedes driver spoke bluntly about his future and ambitions.

“Whenever we had a half chance of victory or pole, we were the ones who took it. I feel that I am getting stronger and stronger with each passing season. I feel absolutely ready to win the World Championship, I have a lot of confidence in myself and I think I&#8217m up to any driver on the grid” began the Mercedes driver.

“I will never say that my performance is the best, because I think that if you believe you are at the top it is the’beginning of the decline. You always have to believe that you can give something more” added George Russell.

After five races, the Briton has collected as many as 73 points to reach fourth place in the driver standings. Thanks to the promising start of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, in addition, Mercedes, at this start of the season, has stood as the main antagonist of McLaren in the Constructors’ Championship.
