Jannik Sinner is about to return to the court after a period of forced hiatus due to the Clostebol case. The world number one, who will return to compete on the ATP circuit from early May at the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome, in an interview with TG1 spoke precisely about the case that involved him at the turn of the 2024-2025 season.

“On the court I was not feeling the way a player should feel, because we train a lot and then have fun when we play a good match. This fun day after day went a little bit’ away because I thought about other things” thus vented Jannik, who hopes to quickly forget those complicated months, especially off the field.

In the anticipation of the interview, the South Tyrolean also talked about the’excitement of returning to Rome: “I am happy to be back on the court, especially in Rome, a special tournament for me. Definitely with a different mindset” though.

“There&#8217s no nicer place. Very soon we will be there, not only me, but the whole Italian group with incredible players. We are expecting a great cheer at the Foro Italico– he continued -. Hopefully we will be prepared enough to be there, however, I am very happy, there&#8217s no more beautiful place”.
