Inter-Hellas Verona, Inzaghi aims to rest several starters

Having archived the first leg of the Champions League semifinal with Barcelona (3-3 final), Inter is already focused on Saturday’s challenge at the San Siro (8:45 p.m.) against Hellas Verona. Inzaghi needs to rest as many starters as possible ahead of the return match with the Blaugrana, scheduled for Tuesday night.
Sommer is expected to take the field, although Josep Martinez is ready to contribute should he be called upon. Defense scrambled with de Vrij replacing Acerbi and Carlos Augusto on the field so Bastoni can be rested. Confirmed, however, is Bisseck (Pavard injured).
The outfielders will also change. Dumfries, the’hero of the first act with Barcelona, will rest, as will Dimarco. It will be the turn of Darmian and Zalewski. The midfield will also be changed entirely. Calhanoglu is disqualified, Barella and Mkhitaryan need rest. Space, therefore, will be made for Frattesi, Asllani and Zielinski.
Everything is also renewed on the offensive front with Inzaghi relying on Correa and Arnautovic, with Taremi ready to take over as the game progresses. Thuram needs to recover energy and find the best possible physical condition. Lautaro Martinez is in the pits after the physical problem that forced him out early against Barcelona. In short, an unseen Nerazzurri team will be on the field against Hellas Verona.
