Paolo Galbiati will leave Trent at the end of the season: "I have long since decided"

At the end of this season, Dolomiti Energia Trentino announced through an official statement that the paths of the bianconero club and coach Paolo Galbiati will part ways.

“At the end of this year, Paolo Galbiati will leave the leadership of Dolomiti Energia Trentino – general manager Andrea Nardelli confirmed.

His choice is absolutely legitimate and fully falls within the philosophy of our club, which has always aimed to be a springboard for those working within the organization. We decided to make official now a decision that had already been shared for some time, but that until now we did not feel the need to communicate: we wanted and want the focus to remain only on the field and on the extraordinary path we are taking”.

“The choice to leave the club I matured some time ago, before the Italian Cup– admitted the coach of the bianconeri– In this period I made phone calls, had long talks and made decisions, but I always did it by working with my head down, with maximum commitment. Since I arrived here in Trent I have grown so much, especially from the human point of view. I ask the fans to continue to be close to us: we started 18 months ago with few fans in the cup and today we play in front of a palazzetto that is almost always sold out in the LBA and with more than 3,000 people also in the EuroCup, also thanks to the excellent work of the club. I believe that this team, if it continues to be well with the support of our fans, still has a chance to take some good satisfaction starting from the last games of the regular season to win the home court factor in the playoffs. I want to emphasize that my choice has not in the least affected the daily work we have done and are doing”.

“I sincerely thank the fans for the way they have accompanied us: for their discretion, for the smiles, for allowing us to work in serenity and for supporting us in difficult times. I hope they will continue to do so in this final stretch of the season. Of course, we would have preferred that certain rumors did not come out now, but it is part of the game of sides. Despite some turbulence, we ended a perfect April with only wins and two hugs received from people in society in were very important.
