Santiago Gimenez proposes AC Milan workouts before breakfast

Santiago Gimenez spoke in an’interview withSports Illustrated Mexico:“Ibrahimovic? I really like his personality, the certainty he has when he talks about himself, when he talks about what will happen. He is not afraid of what other people say, he just says what he feels, and most importantly: what he says, he does”.
“At Feyenoord, at the beginning, when we created this Breakfast Club, we were two or three players, and eventually, when I left, it was almost the whole team that came to train before breakfast. For now I am alone in Milanello, but slowly I will attract someone else”.
“Many times, we get to practice and do everything automatically. And I don’t like that. I like to get to the’training and be focused and aware in working on what I have failed at. I use the notes app a lot for video analysis, for performance. After each game I note what I did well, what I did poorly, I give myself a grade”.
“I have a video analyst. I play, and the next day, he starts analyzing, pulls out a video and summarizes the’whole game for me in 15 minutes. From there all my plays come out and he says, ‘In this one you did well, but you should have tried to kick with your right’.”
“I took a course in reading statistics and organizing them by results. I can look up how any game went and every three months I do a general statistic of duels won, duels lost, dribbles, shots. So I see if the statistic is going down, if the statistic is going up, and what is going down is what I am trying to improve. When the graph is going down, it is dangerous. When it is in danger, I know I have to focus on that. And stay after practice to work on shots on goal”.
