The 35th day of Serie A opened with a draw between Torino and Venezia. At the Stadio “Olimpico” Grande Torino, the Lagunari found the lead in the first half, but in the second half, also aided by the changes made at the’halftime, the Granata came back in touch thanks to a penalty kick.

The match began immediately with a mockery for Venezia, which in the 5th minute had found the goal with Zerbin after a double rebound. However, the VAR cancels everything due to Gytkjaer’s offside position earlier. In the 20th minute it was again the former Napoli man who made himself dangerous, but Milinkovic-Savic was skillful in deflecting it into the corner.

The Lagunari’s forcing is rewarded in the 37th minute: Idzes anticipates Sanabria and serves Nicolussi Caviglia, who extends for Yeboah, who calls for the one-two to Gytkjaer, who, however, misses the pass, which ends up between the feet of Kike Perez, who slips between Coco and Maripan and beats the Granata goalkeeper. Torino’s response came in the recovery, where Sanabria did not find the goal mirror with his header.

After the revolution implemented at halftime, Torino came out of the locker room with more hunger, and in the 51st minute the newly-entered Adams fired a first-intention shot towards the goal, finding a super intervention by Radu. A few minutes later it was again the former Inter player who made himself the protagonist by deflecting Vlasic’s conclusion into the corner.

In the last third of the match comes the mockery for Venezia: Elmas, in making a precise lob, hits Idzes’ arm, which is wide. The referee, after a long VAR consultation, awards the penalty, which is perfectly converted by Vlasic. The advantage goal gives even more charge to Torino, which, in the last minutes, manages to create more than one danger to the lagoon rearguard, but Radu is superlative in repelling all the chances, thus allowing his team to leave the match with at least a point.

The draw definitely serves more to Torino, which moves up to 44 points, consolidating its position in mid-table. The orogranatas, on the other hand, climb to 26 points, -1 from 17th-ranked Lecce, which will be engaged against leading Napoli on Saturday, May 3, at 6 p.m.
