Bundesliga 2024-2025: RB Leipzig-Bayern Munich, the likely lineups

After a trophyless year, Bayern Munich can become German champions again as early as Saturday, May 3, should they win away against Leipzig or, in the event of a draw or defeat, with a failure of Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday in Freiburg. Leipzig are coming off the heavy 0-4 loss they suffered in Frankfurt, but they want to bounce back against the Bavarians to get their hopes back for Champions League qualification.
Zsolt Low, coach of the Red Bull-orbit team, will not be able to count on the disqualified Bitshiabu, as well as the injured Orban and Gulacsi: the latter, already absent against Eintracht, will be replaced in goal again by Vandevoordt. Offensive duties will be entrusted instead to Sesko and Openda, with the former scoring in the last two home outings.
As for Vincent Kompany’s side, on the other hand, morale is high after clear-cut successes against Heidenheim (4-0) and Mainz (3-0) that soothed the sporting pain of being eliminated in the Champions League double-header against Inter Milan. Disqualified Harry Kane, who could win his first-ever trophy but will not be on the field: room for Gnabry as the main offensive weapon.
Probable lineups
RB LIPSIA (4-4-2): Vandevoordt; Nedeljkovic, Klostermann, Lukeba, Raum; Baku, Vermereen, Seiwald, Simons; Sesko, Openda. All. Low.
BAYERN MONACO (4-2-3-1): Urbig; Laimer, Dier, Boey, Stanisic; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Coman, Olise, Sané; Gnabry. All. Kompany.
