Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors return to a tie in their series in the NBA Playoffs. The sixth showdown between the two Western Conference bigs closes on 107-115 on California soil, with the Texans recovering the mission they failed in Game-3 and Game-4: taking back that home court factor they conceded to their rivals in the clash that kicked off the series. Shields on Fred VanVleet.

Perfect handling of the challenge by Houston, which overtook Golden State and built already in the second quarter a lead then preserved until the end of the game. Never in question, then, the final outcome of the contest, which saw the Rockets even lead +17 during the fourth period. Very badly the Warriors, who in particular in the final quarter lacked any kind of reaction: this was evidenced by the only basket scored on 16 attempts.

As mentioned, the big star for Houston was a Fred VanVleet not far from the triple double: 29 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for him. Also among the best Rockets on the court were Alperen Sengun (21+14) and Steven Adams (17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 stoppages), while Golden State did not get enough of a nonetheless remarkable performance by its own top names.

The top scorer for Houston is Fred VanVleet.

The top scorer of the night comes, in fact, from the Warriors’ house as well, with Steph Curry matching Fred VanVleet’s 29 points by staying on the court for no less than 42 minutes. Jimmy Butler, on the other hand, arrives at 27, but it is not enough for Golden State, which shows especially in the final game all the signs of its fatigue. And on the Italian night between Sunday and Monday there will be a Race-7 in Houston in which the Rockets could capitalize on their moment of best form and earn the second round against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
