Napoli made no mistake in Lecce and put additional pressure on Inter. At the “Via del Mare” stadium, in fact, the partenopei won by a narrow margin thanks to an accurate free kick by Giacomo Raspadori, which gave the partenopei three golden points in the Scudetto key.

Not even three minutes passed and the Parthenopeans immediately found the lead: Politano received on the right flank, skipped past Gallo and finished towards goal, finding Lukaku’s deflection that mocked Falcone. The joy for the Azzurri, however, was short-lived, as the referee, after a lengthy check with VAR, nullified the goal for offside position of the Belgian center forward.

The goal was scored by the Belgian forward.

Napoli’s forcing, however, is rewarded in the 24th minute, when Raspadori perfectly kicks a free kick, piercing Falcone at his post. Lecce’s response came in the 38th minute with Gaspar, who was the first to pounce on an excellent cross, hitting the crossbar with a header.

The second half also began in the second half.

The second half also began with a mockery for Napoli, which had its doubling goal sealed by Oliveira cancelled due to an obstruction foul by McTominay on Falcone. At 52′ however, it was Lecce that came close to scoring the equalizer with Helgason letting off a shot from the distance, finding the deflection of Lobotka that made it even more difficult for Meret, who was very good at deflecting it into a corner.

As the minutes passed, the Giallorossi raised their center of gravity in search of an equalizer, with the Parthenopeans alternating phases of possession management with restarts and counterattacks. Despite the efforts of the hosts, Conte’s men did not take big risks until the final triple whistle.

Thanks to this success, Napoli moved up to 77 points to +6 from Inter, which will be obliged to respond in the evening against Hellas Verona.
