Conegliano still champion of'Europe, Scandicci overwhelmed

Imoco Conegliano is confirmed on the throne of European women’s volleyball. The Panthers won their second consecutive Champions League, the third in their history, overwhelming Savino Del Bene Scandicci 3-0 in the all-Italian final in Istanbul.
25-16 25-21 25-19 were the set partials. The first fraction is fairly balanced until 10-9 a then Daniele Santarelli’s girls take the lead with a 10-3 partial that basically closes the set.
The Tuscan women put a slight edge on their opponents.
The Tuscans put their lead slightly ahead at the beginning of the second but then Conegliano goes up 8-4 and manages to keep the advantage. In the third set even Scandicci goes ahead by two lengths until 7-5 and then again until 13-11, here, however, there is a 9-3 split for the Venetian women that will prove decisive.
The set is not over yet.
One hour and 7 minutes the total duration of the match, for Conegliano as many as 21 points by Isabelle Haak, of which 16 in attack and 3 ace, in wall 3 points by Cristina Chirichella. On the other side Ekaterina Antropova put in 14, moreover as many as Ting Zhu, the second best scorer for the Panthers.
