Genoa, Patrick Vieira head on: "Played a high-level game"

These are the statements made in the press conference by the coach of the Genoa Patrick Vieira after the’1-2 remedied against the Milan.
“We played 75 minutes of the highest level, playing the game with intensity and discipline. I am sorry because we deserved more, we did a great performance and I am sorry for the boys because they deserved to take at least a point. Maignan was Milan’s best player and that means we played the right game suffering only in the last minutes” began the coach of the Rossoblù.
“We paid a little bit’ fatigue, but the quality of Milan’s bench also made a difference, they put us in trouble and their changes were decisive. We played like the last few games, we played the last few months with the quality we have. The players are growing and have more confidence, however, there’s still a lot to work on. The important thing was the attitude and from this point of view the team could not do more” continued the Genoa coach.
“The most important thing now is to finish the championship well. For what we saw on the field, I am very proud and I have no doubt about the players’attitude. We want to finish the season as best we can, then we will see for next year’s season. We would like to beat a big team. Milan had too much individual quality and in the end it made the difference. We will try to do well with Napoli” added the Grifone coach.
“We have never had any doubts about the fans and the atmosphere there’s at the stadium. This defeat hurts, we deserved more. We can come out of the game with our heads held high. On the’other hand, we have to improve because we lack some’ quality” Patrick Vieira concluded.
