After the narrow loss in the league to Roma, the Fiorentina is back to focus on the Conference League, where the Viola will be obliged to overturn the Betis Sevilla in the return semifinal, scheduled for Thursday, May 8 at 9:00 p.m. at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Speaking at a press conference, coach Raffaele Palladino explained the keys to the comeback.

“We carefully studied the first leg match, which was still very good in a difficult stadium and against a worthy opponent. We can do better, technically and in the final choices. We made mistakes in things that we usually don&#8217t make mistakes, however, the team is charged and is well. I am sure that tomorrow we will be 22,000 fans plus 20 players, all against Betis. That will have to be our extra weapon” the Fiorentina coach began.

“I want to congratulate Inter, it was a good match, played with great spirit and courage. It will remain in the minds of all of us Italians. The thing that impressed me is to have seen them exhausted, with even physical problems, but without giving up to the death. We will have to do that too, sweating the jersey from the first to the’last second. The final is within our possibilities and an’ambition, if the others are better we will accept it, but giving battle” continued the’former Monza coach.

“We have to start strong from the beginning and make the opponents understand what kind of imprint we want to give the game. As we are doing in the last games, we have a fire inside and we put it on the field. We have to do that tomorrow as well. The game can be unblocked even in the second half, so we will need maturity to understand the different moments of the match’the match. The challenge is played in the two phases, possession and non-possession, and we will have to be perfect in both” added the former Genoa player.

“We must have mentality and self-confidence, because Inter showed us that a game is not over until the final whistle. I feel a sense of responsibility to these guys. From the first day I entered the locker room, the boys talked to me about their desire for revenge for the lost final. I really care about them getting to the final. Having a one-goal disadvantage we will start as underdogs and we will have to come back. We know it will be difficult, but in difficulties we have always come out on top. It’s undoubtedly the most important match of my career, everyone is buzzing and we can&#8217t wait to take the field” concluded Raffaele Palladino.
