Alex Marquez shifts pressure to brother Marc

After nine podiums won (between Sprint and GP) in the first five race weekends, Alex Marquez arrives in Le Mans fresh off his first career MotoGp victory and as the MotoGP leader. Speaking at a press conference ahead of the French GP, the Team Gresini centaur wanted to keep his feet firmly on the ground.
“I watched the Jerez victory again myself, however, I don’t feel anything different. Life is the same, a success cannot change you mentally, the’approach to the weekend must always be the same. I will try here as well, I will try to give 100% as we did in Jerez from the first moment: we try to express all the potential, to stay focused on the work we have to do” began the Gresini team centaur.
“Ducati has won the GP here in the last five years with five different riders. Well, hopefully a sixth one will come, too. We have to take it one race at a time, staying focused on our work. There’s always Marc in front, he is working better than everyone. He made mistakes, sure, however, falls are part of racing. At the performance level there is no doubt that he is still the rider to beat” added the MotoGP leader.
“Between dry and wet this year I prefer the’dry because I go faster. However normally on this track you have good grip even in the wet, so it is not a nightmare compared to other tracks, as you do not have to change your riding style so much. In general, with this bike I can ride according to my style, everything comes pretty natural to me, it’s a complete bike. I have said since the tests that this bike was pleasant to ride not only on a dry lap, but also in terms of race pace” concluded Alex Marquez.
