To Inter Milan the Let’s Build Kindness in Sport Award
F.C. Internazionale Milano has received the Let’s Build Kindness in Sport Award, conceived by Ussi Toscana with the collaboration of the Cor et Amor Association, as part of the National Project Let’s Build Kindness that enhances gestures and projects of kindness through sport.
The award was presented to President Giuseppe Marotta by the ambassadors of Costruiamo Gentilezza, Gaia Simonetti and Chiara Castellani, for the social and inclusion projects put in place by the Nerazzurri club to spread the culture of kindness.
The report came from children who say clubs or sports personalities have distinguished themselves in paths of kindness through sports.
The ‘Let’s Build Kindness in Sport’ Award, whose symbol is the kindness ambassador jersey, was inspired by the heartfelt gesture of the Azzurri and Tottenham goalkeeper, Guglielmo Vicario, who was among the first to take in and host a family that had fled the war.
During the first three years of the award’s existence, the following have been honored: Claudio Ranieri, Anna Astori, Federica Cappelletti, Elisabet Spina, Daniele Cassioli, Pisa Sporting Club, U.S. Sassuolo Calcio, Tennis Giotto Arezzo for the’installation of red benches in front of the playing fields,
On the back of the jersey, Mandela’s phrase, chosen by the children, stands out: “Sport has the power to change the world”.
