Carlo Ancelotti is the new coach of Brazil

Carlo Ancelotti is officially Brazil’s new technical commissioner. The Brazilian Federation has announced the’agreement with the Italian coach, who from June will lead the Seleçao for the 2026 World Cup qualifying matches: his first matches will be against Ecuador and Paraguay. The federation’s goal is to win the World Cup scheduled in North America.Carletto has signed a contract until 2026, with an option to renew for the 2030 World Cup.

Ancelotti, who has been courted by the Brazilians for some time, will not be accompanied in this new experience by his son Davide, who has been his deputy in all of the Emilian coach’s last adventures.

“Bringing Carlo Ancelotti to lead Brazil is more than a strategic decision. It is a statement to the world of our determination to regain the top spot on the podium. He is the greatest coach in history and now leads the best national team on the planet” are the words of Brazilian Football Federation President Ednaldo Rodrigues.

Ancelotti leaves Real Madrid after an unsuccessful season, but as the most successful coach in the history of the blanco club with 15 titles won, including 3 Champions Leagues.
