Ducati: harsh tones from Davide Tardozzi after Pecco Bagnaia’s flop

The day after the crazy Le Mans weekend is two-sided at Ducati: Marc Marquez is enjoying the victory in the Sprint race and the’excellent second place in the Sunday race, in the face of a Pecco Bagnaia left desolately at quota zero points due to two devastating crashes, which have sunk even more the ranking of the Piedmontese rider.
Team manager Davide Tardozzi didn’t mince words after the race to Sky’s microphones: “Marc did a smart race. It would have been unwise to take risks to win the race when he had a big gap to Zarco while he had a small advantage over Alex. So instead he brought home the maximum”.
.
All this is different for Pecco: “The goal is to help him, we know his value and we are amazed that we have not yet been able to give him what he needs. I don’t think he has forgotten how to ride a motorcycle…”.
“Pecco’s morale is obviously underfoot and we have to support him in that respect as well. Our engineers will think about what to do to help him, we remain confident that he has absolute value to fight for victory”.
