Olimpia Milano: Messina’s recipe for doing well in the playoffs

L’Olimpia closed the regular season with a convincing victory over already relegated Givova Scafati (100-72). Good answers from the entire roster, especially from Nebo and Caseur, both just returned after major physical problems.
Milan will meet, in the first round of the play-offs (game 1 is scheduled for the weekend of May 17-18), Trento, a tough opponent that, in recent years, has played some tricks on the red and white.
Coach Messina is clear on the’subject: “I don’t think we need any stimulation. The fact that we are in the playoffs with a winding road is enough. However, I would like to say that last year we lost the first game at home to Trent, Baron and Shields got hurt, then the team played three good games against a competitive team, albeit not as strong as this year’s. Things can change in a short time. The important thing is to be healthy”.
In particular, a lot of desire to have Nebo, virtually unusable for five months, at 100 percent: “We know how important he is for us”, the comment of coach Messina, who made it known that he has not yet made the final choices regarding the 12 who will play in the play-offs. The decision will come soon, also because in a very few days it starts in earnest.
