Alexander Zverev gives Arthur Fils no chance and joins Lorenzo Musetti in the quarters in Rome

The adventure of Alexander Zverev at the Internazionali d’Italia continues. The German tennis player, in fact, folded Frenchman Arthur Fils in two sets with a score of 7-6 6-1, thus detaching the pass for the quarterfinals.
In the first set it was Zverev who got off to a rocket start with a four-games-to-one lead. The transalpine, for his part, does not flinch and puts the score back on even footing thanks to three games in a row. The match thus slipped to the tie-break, which was won by the world number two with a clear 7-3.
In the second set, Filils starts well by holding serve in the opening game. From the second game on, however, the Frenchman disappears from the court altogether and Zverev takes advantage of this to post a six-game-to-zero run that effectively closes the match at 6-1.
The Frenchman’s lead was broken by the Frenchman.
At the quarterfinals, Alexander Zverev will face Lorenzo Musetti, who beat Russian Daniil Medvedev in the round of 16 with a score of 7-5 6-4.
