Serie B 2024-2025: Spezia-Cosenza, the likely lineups

Spice hosts Cosenza in the ’last day of Serie B. Kickoff at 8:30 p.m. at the ‘Picco’. The bianconeri must win to defend third place: a draw may not be enough in fact, since in case of finishing on points with Cremonese, engaged in Pisa, the direct clashes would smile on the grigiorossi. On the other hand, the only goal of the Rossoblù, already relegated to Serie C, is to end the championship with dignity.

D’Angelo will have to do without Salvatore Esposito, who was injured with Cremonese. In defense, ahead of Gori and with Bertola still in the pits, the three-man line with Mateju, Wisniewski and Hristov should be confirmed. On the flanks, Elia, who returns from disqualification, will be on the right, while Aurelio will be confirmed on the left. In the middle of the field, Nagy is the main suspect to replace S. Esposito, alongside him will act Kouda and Cassata, but Candelari’s candidacy also remains to be monitored. In the latter case, Kouda could advance on the three-quarter to support the offensive pair formed by Pio Esposito and Lapadula.

Alvini, struggling with numerous absences, is expected to opt for a 3-4-2-1 in which there will be space from the first minute for young Vettorel in goal. In defense, Hristov, Sgarbi and Dalle Mura are confirmed. Gargiulo, Kouan and Kourfalidis will play two jerseys in the middle of the field, while Ricciardi and Ricci should act on the flanks. Forwards trust Artistico, with Florenzi – returning from disqualification – and Rizzo Pinna deployed on the three-quarter behind him.
