In addition to the’being back to the wall in the series against the New York Knicks, the defending NBA champions will have to do without for the remainder of the playoffs and in all likelihood for the entire upcoming season Jayson Tatum, who suffered a ruptured achilles tendon as communicated by the same franchise.

“Jayson Tatum underwent successful surgery today to repair a ruptured right achilles tendon. A date for his return is not currently available, but he is expected to make a full recovery. Further updates will be provided at the appropriate time” this is the medical report issued by the Boston Celtics.

Although recovery time would not yet be determined with certainty, number 0 is expected to remain in the pits between 8 and 12 months, thus skipping the entire upcoming NBA season.

Boston, without its superstar, will be called upon to pull off a real feat to try to reopen the series with New York, which will have as many as two match points including one at Madison Square Garden.
