The New York Knicks dominate the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA playoffs and return to the Eastern Conference Finals after 25 years. After a balanced first quarter, the team from the Big Apple ramped up and won 119-81 against the Celtics orphaned by Jayson Tatum: the series ended 4-2.

New York’s best were Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby, with 23 points apiece. Also good were Mikal Bridges (22 points) and Karl-Anthony Towns, 21. For the Celtics, the best was Jaylen Brown with 20 points.

The New York Knicks will face the Indiana Pacers in the conference finals for a spot in the NBA Finals. Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla, however, applauded his team: “The loss should not detract from the mentality and the’commitment that the players put in… the approach, the competition, you can&#8217t ask more from the guys. I think they gave everything they had all season”.

“You have to take your hat off to the Knicks. They played a great series and have been great all year’year”.
