Carlos Alcaraz honors Jannik Sinner: the Murcian is not in hiding

During the awards ceremony of the Internazionali d’Italia, Carlos Alcaraz not only celebrated his first success in the capital city tournament, but also wanted to pay tribute to his defeated opponent, Jannik Sinner, who made life very difficult for him in the first set, even coming within one point of winning the fraction, before surrendering in the tie-break.
“I want to thank Jannik – Alcaraz said right away -He’s been out for three months, I can’t remotely imagine how difficult it was for him, his fans and his team. He’s been fantastic in this tournament and I want to congratulate him. I will never stop reminding everyone what a great person Jannik is, he deserves all the congratulations”.
Alcaraz then recounted the feelings he had after finishing the match victoriously: “I have returned from an injury, it was a difficult period, I came here to check my physical condition– said the Murcian champion. “I want to thank family and friends who have always been close to me, this trophy also belongs to them”.
