New Italian records for Carlo Calcagni, Oxana Corso and Maria José Giorio

At the Tre Fontane Paralympic Preparation Center in Rome, the first territorial trial of the 2025 Company Championships and Italian Throwing Cup for the regions of Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany was staged.
The first round of the Italian Championships was held in Rome.
On the Roman track, Carlo Fabio Marcello Calcagni (Paralympic Defense) set a new Italian record in the 400 T72 with a time of 1:01.80, which also earned him the best world performance ever over the distance.
The throwing platform also brought two national records signed by Oxana Corso (Fiamme Gialle) and Maria José Giorio (G.S.H. Sempione 82), who both improved records that already bore their names. If the Yellow Flames athlete was able to throw the implement at 7.59, the Sempione 82 holder broke the 10m barrier with a best throw of 10.39.
