Kevin De Bruyne, who has been accosted by Napoli in recent weeks, spoke to The Times about his future: “I will almost certainly not play in the Club World Cup. It makes no sense because I have to take care of myself. If I got injured, what would happen? No one would take care of me at that point”.

“When you are in your 20s and you make a decision, it is easier. You can move to another country and it is not a problem, but I want to make the best decision that is good for my children, for my wife, for school, for life, for all those things that you have to take a minute to think about”.
“Future in Europe or not? It depends on all these factors. I do not want to be pressured by anyone” he concluded.
