ATP Hamburg: Flavio Cobolli overturns Sachko and flies to the round of 16

Flavio Cobolli won on a comeback at the Hamburg ATP 500 on his debut. The world number 35 Roman tennis player overcame in three sets lucky loser Vitaliy Sachko, number 235 in the ATP rankings, with a final score of 5-7 6-2 6-2 after a two-hour, 38-minute fightback.
Cobolli actually started well, taking away his opponent’s serve in the fourth game (3-1). The blue, however, gets caught (3-3) and even overtaken by the Ukrainian (5-3) before recovering (5-5). A new Sachko stretch, however, earned him the first set (7-5).
The Roman also starts well in the second set (2-0) but fails to confirm the break (2-1). In the fourth game, Cobolli again snatches the serve from Sachko (3-1) and this time he confirms the break lead (4-1), repeating it in the eighth game (6-2).

In the third and decisive set Cobolli ramps up, flying to 4-0. Sachko tries to get back into the match by taking away one of the two break leads from the blue (2-4), who, however, places a new stretch until the 6-2 final with which he flies to the round of 16 of the ‘Bitpanda Hamburg Open‘.
