David releases himself from Lille, it’s official: Napoli-Inter duel

Lille has made official the’farewell to Jonathan David: the Canadian forward, born in 2000, will break free from the French club on June 30 next year. The North American striker is ready to start a new chapter in his career, which could be in Italy: the Serie A clubs ahead of everyone are currently Inter and Napoli, with the Azzurri reportedly making a richer proposal than Marotta. Juventus is also in contention, should the deal for Osimhen not be concluded happily.

“After 5 seasons, 231 games, 109 goals, 2 titles, 4 appearances in the European cups and 2 appearances in the Champions League round of 16, Jonathan David will leave Lille at the end of the 2024/2025 season”, is Lille&#8221s farewell to its striker.

“The Canadian national team striker enters the club’s hall of fame. Today it is time to thank our number 9 for these emotions we have experienced together for 5 years and to wish him good luck for the rest of his career, which we hope will be just as wonderful”, is the note from the club.

“It has been an exceptional five years, the fans and I have had so much fun all these years. Thank you for everything, thank you for being by my side, by the side of the team over these years. For that I will forever carry you in my heart”.
