Jannik Sinner-Carlos Alcaraz: Adriano Panatta already knows who will win more

Adriano Panatta in an interview with the Corriere della Sera commented on Carlos Alcaraz’s victory over Jannik Sinner in the Rome final: “The Spaniard deserved and overall was superior to him. But by a little, something the score does not fully express. Sinner had the first two set points, recovered a tie-break that seemed lost. I wonder what this clash would have been if Jannik had had the continuity that the three-month stop as unfair as ever robbed him”.
Panatta, however, cannot fail to praise Alcaraz for what he did: “He played a game as a real player, different from usual, of extreme concreteness. Bravo, there is little to add. A champion who gave an efficient demonstration of what he will be when the youth of today gives way to the maturity of the accomplished champion”.
According to the’former tennis player“Sinner will win more than Alcaraz in their respective careers because he is more continuous, while the Spaniard seems to become so only when he plays against the Italian”.
“But there is no doubt that when Alcaraz manages to combine all the best things in his tennis, the level he can develop is the highest on the circuit”.
