Pro Recco won the 37th Scudetto in its history, the fourth consecutive in the Sandro Sukno era. In Game 3 of the final, the Ligurian team won over Brescia 9-5 and thus clinched the series 2-1.

The tricolor holders got off to a strong start and a 6-0 lead after 11 minutes of play effectively closed the score early.

Pro Recco will now be engaged in Sori in the Euro Cup return final with the Serbs of Radnicki at 7 p.m. (in Serbia it had ended 16-12 for Recco). The dream is to achieve the hat trick, having also won the Italian Cup on March 16 in Naples (beaten Rari Nantes Savona 11-5).

“We were dominant throughout the match – said Sukno – Congratulations to both teams and also to coach Bovo. We showed again the strength and DNA of Pro Recco as we did in the Italian Cup. AN Brescia chased us all season long and on the last day of the regular season they deservedly won. It took us all the way to game three but with a lot of effort we managed to bring out our best. Let the boys celebrate the ccudetto and then we will recover our energy for the return leg of the Euro Cup final. We want to have a beautiful celebration and write history”.
