Roland Garros qualifiers: Arnaboldi and Zeppieri in the second round

The tennis men’s blue doubles on the second day of qualifying at Roland Garros. Smiling are Federico Arnaboldi and Giulio Zeppieri, who got a pass to the second round of the qualifying draw.

Arnaboldi, world number 186, surprisingly eliminated Taiwanese Chun-Hsin Tseng, the fourth seed in the seeding. The Lombardian won with a final score of 6-3 3-6 6-3 after nearly two and a half hours of play.

Zeppieri, number 306 in the ATP rankings, defeated Britain’s Jan Choinski, world number 195, in two sets. 6-4 7-6 the score accrued in favor of the Roman after just over an hour and a half of play.

Thanks to these two victories, the number of Italians qualified for the penultimate qualifying round of the Paris Slam rises to four: in addition to Zeppieri and Arnaboldi, in fact, Gigante and Napolitano are still in contention for a place in the main draw.
