Cobolli doesn’t stop now: semifinal in Hamburg after beating Bautista Agut

Flavio Cobolli’s ride at the Atp 500 in Hamburg no longer stops. In fact, the Italian tennis player managed to hit the semifinals of the German tournament after overcoming in two sets, 7-6, 6-0, the Spaniard Bautista Agut in almost an hour and a half of play.
In the 1st set, the Roman managed to break the Spaniard in the 5th game, and went to serve at 5-4 to close out the first partial. Flavio however concedes the’only break point of the set, even with a double fault. Cobolli, however, does not suffer the backlash and at the tie-beak takes the fraction 7-4 in 57′.
The Roman rode the wave of the 1st set and dominated the 2nd with a clear 6-0. The first break comes immediately in the 2nd game, where Bautista Agut already seems to have lost the grit of the 1st set. Cobolli consolidates without too much trouble in the next game, taking a 3-0 lead and putting more than just a mortgage on the match. By now the Spaniard seems to have lost all hope: three more break points conceded, the first two cancelled with pride, but on the third one the forehand fanning of the Italian is lethal. It is 4-0, with a double break lead. The match closes with a total domination of Cobolli, 6-0. The Roman will now face Argentina’s Tomas Etcheverry (world number 55) in the semifinals for a place in the final.
