Patrick Vieira spoke in a press conference on the eve of Bologna-Genoa, a match valid for the last day of Serie A. “It was a week like any other – he began -. Where we worked with intensity. I always asked the players that I wanted to finish the championship in a good way. I am still very frustrated with how we lost the last game against Atalanta and it would be nice to end the championship with a win that we will go after in Bologna”.

“We also try to create a mentality and one is to commit until the last day is part of that– added the Grifone coach. Against Atalanta we impacted in a positive way and now we look for this positivity also in Bologna by playing with intensity”.

He then announced two important recoveries for the trip to Emilia: “Maxwel Cornet and Honest Ahanor have been training all week and will be part of the group”.

“Goal for the future? It takes time. I believe so much in stability. For what I would like is for all the players I have worked with in recent months to remain. Unfortunately, however, it is impossible. For the future I think it is important to have this stability to create a team that can go and compete”.

Closing on Vasquez: “He has the qualities that represent those of the fans. He has been one of the most important players as many. There is talk of renewal and I hope it can be done. He is a key player for the future of the team”.
