Ettore Messina stresses Trento’s value and compliments Olimpia'Olimpia

Olimpia Milano in the playoff semifinals after beating Trento 89-82 in Game 4, and Ettore Messina is enjoying the passage to the round after a day that was not a foregone conclusion and against an’opponent to which the meneghini coach reserved high praise.
“Trento is a strong team, and all the awards it’s won over the course of this year with full merit give us back its value– stressed Messina.”
To have managed to eliminate them without even the court factor is for us a source of satisfaction at the end of a difficult elimination round”.
Then Messina focused on his Olimpia Milano’s performance in the decisive clash with Trento: “Our approach to the third quarter was not good, especially on defense. Then, from -1 on, we played the fourth quarter with a lot of heart. Credit to Shields and Bolmaro, who led a team that then followed them. We put in a lot of order, intensity, and made the right decisions in rebounding and counterattacks”.
Messina finally wanted to dwell on Brooks: “He works a lot, he is growing, and it shows in the minutes we give him. He has done well at rebounding and also when we put him in a position to find some more open shots. But if I had been told he would be in the base quintet in the playoffs a few months ago, I would have little believed it.
