Playoffs Serie B 2024-2025: Spezia-Catanzaro, the probable formations

This evening at 7:30 p.m. at the ‘Picco’ is the return match of the playoff semifinal between Spezia and Catanzaro. On the strength of the 2-0 win at Ceravolo, the Bianconeri start with a distinct advantage ahead of the home match. For the Calabrians, who are called upon to overturn the double away disadvantage, a real feat will be needed to gain access to the final.

D’Angelo could confirm much of the eleven seen in the first leg. In defense, in front of Gori, the choices seem forced: Wiśniewski, Hristov and Bertola will act. In midfield, a few doubts: Elia could leave room for Vignali on the right, while Aurelio will be confirmed on the left. In the middle, Nagy is sure of his place: next to the Hungarian will be Bandinelli and one between Kouda and Cassata. In attack, the Di Serio-Pio Esposito pair is confirmed.

Caserta should confirm the starting eleven despite the recovery of Compagnon, who has returned to the squad. In defense, in front of Pigliacelli, there will still be Brighenti, Scognamillo and Bonini. In midfield, Petriccione is back available: with him, space for Pontisso and one of Ilie and Pompetti, while Cassandro and Quagliata will be confirmed on the flanks.
