Premier League 2024-2025: Manchester United-Aston Villa, the likely lineups

Manchester United wants to end an unsuccessful season on all fronts with a smile that would be worth at least 40 points, but ahead of Ruben Amorim’s Red Devils is an Aston Villa still in the running for one of the five positions that guarantee a place in the next Champions League. The match is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Just days after the defeat in the Europa League final, there will be several changes made by United’s Portuguese coach: Hojlund will most likely be the main offensive weapon, Bruno Fernandes and Garnacho will play in support of the’former Atalantino. In midfield space for Ugarte and Mainoo, Diallo and Dorgu on the flanks.

On the other side Unai Emery is asking for a last effort from his side, still without Marcus Rashford: Watkins will be in attack, with Asensio, McGinn and Rogers on the three-quarter line. Tielemans and Kamara will be the midfielders, on the flanks will be Cash on the right and Digne on the left. In goal Emiliano Martinez is looking for his fourth ‘clean sheet’ in a row.
