Saudi pressing for Simone Inzaghi: Inter prepares 'plan B'

Simone Inzaghi seems to be getting farther and farther away from Inter: the fate of the coach from Piacenza is still to be written but in all likelihood it will be decided between the Champione League final and the’start of the Club World Cup, with the Saudi broadcaster ’SSC’ revealing a constant pressure from the’Al-Hilal to have Inzaghi even as early as the World Cup, in exchange for a contract worth 50 million over two years.

A possibility, this one, however, complicated given that Inter would have to find a new coach in time for the World Cup, which starts in mid-June. Much more likely is a direct reasoning for next season, releasing Inzaghi from the contract that binds him until 2027, but already now they are starting to reason about the possible replacement, given that the need for a new technical guide is common to several other clubs in the Italian league.

The need for a new coach is common to several other clubs in the Italian league.

Milan and Roma are already looking for the name that will replace, respectively, Sergio Conceiçao and Claudio Ranieri, although the latter has confirmed (without specifying his identity) that the Giallorossi have already chosen their new technical guide. And also at the window could be Juventus, should the roads with Igor Tudor part ways, and Napoli, which needs to understand Antonio Conte&#8217s intentions.

The Giallossi have already chosen a new coach.

The ‘plan B’ of Inter would have a name and a surname, Massimiliano Allegri. The coach from Livorno, who has been stationary this season, is highly coveted but could be interested in a project that is already winning and solid in Italy and Europe, unlike Napoli, which, despite being back at the top of Italian soccer, has to rebuild its European reputation, and Milan and Roma, which, on the other hand, will start next season with much less certainty, especially from the point of view of the composition of the roster.

The plan B is a plan for the Inter Milan team.

What is certain is that the Nerazzurri club will try to prevent the discussion on the possible change of technical guidance from distracting the players in view of a crucial appointment, the seventh Champions Cup/Champions League final in its history. The goal is to return to raising the Cup with the big ears for the first time in 15 years and for the fourth time overall: all other talks will develop from Sunday, June 1 onward.
