Trent restarts with Massimo Cancellieri: total agreement

In the aftermath of the defeat suffered in game-4 against Olimpia Milano, an 89-82 that sanctioned the elimination from the playoffs scudetto despite the court factor initially in favor, Aquila Basket Trento has announced the name of the coach who will take the place of Paolo Galbiati, who just Saturday night ended his HCL adventure: it is Massimo Cancellieri, leaving Paok.
“Dolomiti Energia Trentino announces that, starting next season, Massimo Cancellieri will be the new head coach of the bianconeri team – reads the note released Sunday by the company -. Aquila Basket Trento has signed a two-year deal with the Italian coach, bringing him back to Italy after a series of high-level seasons abroad. Coach Cancellieri is ready to put his experience and enthusiasm at the service of the Trento project”.
“With his enthusiasm, preparation and a wealth of international experience, Massimo Cancellieri is ready to begin a new stimulating adventure at the helm of Dolomiti Energia Trentino” adds the club, which brings back to Italy after four seasons the coach born in Teramo on May 24, 1972, a three-time champion of Italy as a deputy at Olimpia Milano.
Cancellieri began his coaching career in the mid-1990s at San Raffaele Roma women’s youth team, then coached the first team in 1999-2000. He was later at Teramo as an assistant, at Montecatini and Biella as both assistant and head coach, at Veroli, Milan (as an assistant) and Ravenna, before experiences at Limoges, Strasbourg and Thessaloniki, Paok side.
