Devastating second quarter, Cantù folds Rieti again

Devastating second quarter, Cantù folds Rieti again. The Brianzoli go 2-0 in the semifinal series, winning 89-74.
The Lazio players get off the blocks better, even going up +7 (12-5) before suffering the reaction of the hosts. Cantù ties it at 15-15 before suffering the fourth bomb of the first period.
The game, in fact, is decided in the second period, a real white-blue monologue, with Basile making the best of it: in 9 minutes he scores 11 points, with two 3-point baskets, among other things. The guests shoot very badly from 2 (0/9 in the period) and sink, with the scoreboard showing an eloquent 46-28 for the Brienza-band at the second buzzer, the result of a period that closed on 31-10, thanks also to a surgical Moraschini (10 points, with 4/4 at the free in 20′).
Cantù restarts by stretching, Piunti loses his cool and gets thrown out. The +24 at 3′ is already a sentence also because the hosts don′ t let up and Hogue scores 6 points in a few seconds (62-37 at halftime). Among the Reatini finally wakes up Harris but a miracle would be needed to get back in the game: some amnesia by the Brianzoli helps them go up to -19 (73-54) at the third buzzer.
In the first two minutes of the fourth quarter the Brianzoli don’t score, Okekeke breaks the spell and then Riismaa pushes the guests back (80-58) with 6’18” to go. The curtain falls on’89-74, Cantù goes 2-0 in the series.
