L’Inter is looking forward to the Champions League final. Then comes the World Club Championship. One wonders if it will always be Inzaghi to lead the Nerazzurri team. The technician is the’number one target of the’Al-Hilal (club that, interestingly, will play the Club World Cup).

In order to have Inzaghi, the wealthy Arab club (which exonerated Jorge Jesus) is ready for anything. There is talk of a monster proposal, par to about 25 million euros, net, per season (two-year contract). An outsized salary, especially when compared to the seven million that Inter would like to guarantee Inzaghi in case of renewal.

Not an easy situation for the Nerazzurri management, which would never want to part with Inzaghi, the team’s great helmsman. However, the possibility that he could leave is not remote. The coach would be reflecting on the’offer, which is really important economically. Hence the need to look for an’alternative.

The name the pole position, in case of Inzaghi’s farewell at the end of the Champions League final with PSG next May 31, would be that of Fabregas, fresh from an outstanding season at the helm of Como. Fabregas is young and ambitious, he could be the ideal profile to open a new cycle even if, at Inter, everyone hopes that Inzaghi will continue to be the coach of Inter for many more years.
