Olimpia Milan and the new golden generation of blue basketball

There are a lot of young blue talents who are showing off. They know it well at Olimpia. The red and white Under 18 reached the Euroleague Next Gen final (beaten by Zalgiris 89-81). Beyond the bitterness of losing the last act, so much satisfaction to see prospects like Suigo, Garavaglia and Lonati playing at the highest level.
These three youngsters played at the highest level.
These three young men have been playing together for years and are part of the new generation d’oro of Azzurri basketball (along with other talents such as Sarr, a future Duke player, and Niang, a big star with Dolomiti Trento). Each of the three red-and-whites is about to embark on a path that will lead them to become more and more complete players.
Lonati has already made his choice: he will play in the NCAA with the St.Bonaventure jersey (he was recruited directly by Wojnarowski). There’s a line to secure the long Suigo. Class of 2007, 215 cm tall, he is already considered a future star. It also remains to be seen which path Garavaglia, another element of enormous quality, will take.
Everyone dreams of one day playing in the’NBA. Surely they will be important assets for the national team of the future. Having such talents to focus on is a luxury that not many nations have. Meanwhile, they have all already made their debut with the first team of Olimpia Milano, which has shown that it knows how to discover real talent.
