PSG triumph, from Donnarumma to Kvara via Hakimi: how many former Serie A players.

PSG’s Champions League triumph, the first in history for the Parisian club, also passes through the Serie A. There are several, in fact, the players coached this season by Luis Enrique (who also’passed among others from Italy, specifically Roma) who have left their mark in the Italian league, before choosing the path of the French capital.
One of the certainly most important names is that of Gianluigi Donnarumma: “Gigio” has been in Paris since 2021, after a not unhappy farewell to AC Milan when his contract expired. Today’s is his second European laurel, after the one he won just in the summer of his move to France with the Italian national team, with his decisive saves to beat England at Wembley in the final.
The PSG captain himself, Marquinhos, has a history in the Italian league: the defender who first lifted the Big Ears Cup to the sky on Saturday night played the 2012-2013 season with Roma, finishing sixth in the league and narrowly missing out on success in the Coppa Italia, with the Giallorossi defeated in the final by Lazio. In the summer of 2013 the’farewell to PSG, where he has been one of the most representative men ever since.
We cannot, moreover, fail to mention Achraf Hakimi: the man who unlocked the Monaco final is an old acquaintance precisely of Inter, whose shirt he wore in the 2020-2021 season, winning the championship just before going to PSG. It was no coincidence that the Moroccan national chose not to exult after scoring the 1-0 goal in the Champions League final.
In the field there were finally two players seen in the Napoli jersey at different times: in midfield Fabian Ruiz, in the shadow of Vesuvius from 2018 to 2022, with one Coppa Italia, that of 2020, under his belt; in attack, on the other hand, there was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, in the Azzurri from 2022 to January 2025, a great protagonist of the Parthenopeans’ third Scudetto and committed, at least at the beginning, in the season that then gave Napoli its fourth Tricolor.
