Zach LeDay is ready to duel with Toko Shengelia

Interviewed on “La Repubblica – Milano,” Zach LeDay spoke about the challenge that begins tonight against Virtus Segafredo Bologna: “They came first for a reason and we have to be ready to face them with the mentality of the underdogs, the underdogs”.
“We will have to fight on every possession, fight on every ball and in every situation to prove that we deserve to have made it to the semifinals, ready to play it game by game to move on. I am ready to fight for the team and for whatever Olimpia needs from me, use my body to stop opponents. We have to fight for a living and earn another opportunity; that is the warrior mentality. Every game against them was different, there were personnel changes, players coming in and out, many injuries. Even now we will be without Josh Nebo, the’only thing we know is that it will be a very tough challenge, with a Euroleague opponent: we will have to be resilient and stay together whatever difficulties come.”
LeDay is ready for the duel with Shengelia: “I respect him so much, he is one of the strongest in Europe and I look forward to the one-on-one challenge with him trying to give everything I can. The challenge with Bologna is of a high level and it is good to be like that. We have to be a united group, moment by moment, with the mentality of those who have to earn everything not thinking about ourselves but giving our best each for our brothers.”
