Accounts put a smile on Inter's face: receipts over half a billion

No trophy came, especially came the very heavy defeat in the Champions League final but Inter still has a reason to smile. Corporate accounts have never been more positive. Oaktree, the new ownership (it took office in May 2024), will end its first year without a loss, indeed with a profit.

An important achievement when one considers that previous managements, from Pellegrini (disappeared on the day of the Champions League final) to Moratti, via Zhang and Thohir, had always had substantial losses. Instead, thanks to a nonetheless positive season with the team capable of reaching the bottom of almost all competitions, Inter, on an economic level, won its title.

As reported by the Gazzetta dello Sport, this year the Nerazzurri club will come to gross more than half a billion (515/520 million euros). It is a monster figure that also represents an all-time turnover record for an Italian club (beaten by Cristiano Ronaldo’s 2018/19 Juventus, which was able to gross 464 million euros.

The bulk came from the Champions League, which brought as much as 190 million euros into the corporate coffers. Also well managed were the heavy contract renewals of Lautaro Martinez and Barella. In short, Inter won, at least on the table of corporate accounts. Unfortunately, fans care about the victories (and trophies) that are won on the field.
