Roland Garros, moments of fear for Alexander Zverev

Frightening moments for Alexander Zverev during the match against Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands. In the sixth game of the first set, the German began coughing abnormally and ran toward the bench.

Alexander Zverev has suffered from type 1 diabetes since he was a child: “I have never let diabetes stop me. If I can inspire other people with diabetes to keep chasing their dreams and accomplish everything they are capable of, then I will have made a small difference” he said in a recent interview.
Alexander Zverev has been playing with type 1 diabetes for many years.
The athlete in 2022, together with his brother, founded the Alexander Zverev Foundation, an’association that aims to help young people with diabetes in countries where treatment cannot be afforded.
