Dinamo Sassari, new sports director arrives from Reyer

The Dinamo Sassari has a new sporting director: he is Mauro Sartori, whose hiring by the island club was made official on Tuesday, June 3, shortly after the confirmation of Sartori’s farewell to Reyer Venezia, a club of which, among other things, he had also been a player between 2006 and 2008.
“The whole Dinamo world enthusiastically welcomes a professional of recognized experience –reads the club’s note -, who will enrich the club with his skills, vision and deep knowledge of Italian and international basketball. To him goes our warm welcome and best wishes for this new adventure in biancoblu”.
A 1970 class, Sartori lived his basketball career among seniors between 1987 and 2009, wearing the undershirts of Trieste, Desio, Siena, Oberelchingen (Germany), Udine, Verona, Roseto, Reggio Emilia, Damme (Belgium), Rieti, Teramo, Venice and Ruvo di Puglia. At the end of his career on the court, he embarked on a managerial path at Reyer that led him in recent years to the role of sports director and scouting manager.
Dinamo Sassari, after an exciting cycle that culminated in winning the scudetto in 2015, experienced a couple of difficult years, missing the playoffs both last season and in 2024-2025. The club’s goal is to open a new cycle and re-enter, as early as next year, among the best eight in the league.
