Ducati, Marc Marquez doesn’t cut out Pecco Bagnaia

Marc Márquez spoke about MotoGP and his teammate Pecco Bagnaia during the opening of a Ducati dealership in Sant Quirze del Vallès (Barcelona). “For Aragón I expect, or rather want, a good weekend – he began -. Then we will see how it will go there. Quickly, already in the first free practice session, you understand where you can get to and who the rivals will be, but I think the constant of the last races has been that Álex has been the toughest rival; Pecco has also been very close, although in the last two races he has been unlucky and has not been able to get results because of crashes. It is a circuit that, on paper, is favorable to me, but so was Austin, so we need caution and prudence”.
“The goal, when you are fighting for a World Championship, is to try to win it – stressed the Ducati centaur -. Then we will see if it will be possible or not, but the main goal, when you start the season – and even more so wearing red, with a reference bike on the grid and with a reference team – is in your hands, and that is where we are working to be competitive in all races and fight until the end. And why not, try to win it”.
“The issue is that we have not yet completed even a third of the World Championship– added the Cabroncito -. There are still many points up for grabs. Today a weekend is very long and with the Sprint and the long race, 74 points seems like a lot, but it also means there is a lot to play for. Anything can happen, but right now the most consistent and fastest rival on the track is Álex. But that can change from one Grand Prix to the next”.
Closing on the Jorge Martin–Aprilia issue: “He will have his reasons, his explanations. We hope, above all, that he will recover soon and return to the track as soon as possible”.
