Marco Baroni is the new coach of Torino

After the official separation with Paolo Vanoli, Torino has announced its new coach: Marco Baroni. This was announced by the Granata club itself through an official statement.
“Torino Football Club is pleased to announce that as of July 1, 2025, the technical guidance of the First Team will be entrusted to Marco Baroni – reads the note from the Piedmontese club. The coach has signed a two-year contract”.
Marco Baroni was born on September 11, 1963, in Florence. A former footballer, playing as a defender, he made his debut in professional soccer with Fiorentina, in Serie A, in the 1981-1982 season, the first stage of a long career, which ended in 2000, embellished by a Scudetto and an Italian Super Cup with Napoli. As a coach, he boasts 25 years in the profession, with experience gained from Rondinella (moving from the role of player to that of technician) to the season just ended with Lazio.
Most notable among his achievements are winning the Serie B playoffs with Benevento in the 2016/17 season, a historic milestone because for the first time it opened the doors of Serie A to the Samnite club. And then in the 2021-22 season, the promotion to A with Lecce, winning the cadet championship.
