Pedro Obiang is a new player at Monza. The midfielder has signed a contract with the biancorosso club until June 30, 2026 with automatic renewal upon the occurrence of certain conditions.

Born in Alcalá de Henares (Spain) on March 27, 1992 but naturalized Equatoguinean, he grew up in the youth sector of Atletico Madrid before joining Sampdoria in 2008.

In the Blucerchiato he made his Serie A debut on Sept. 12, 2010, on the field of Juventus, and despite his young age, he immediately stood out for his physical and technical skills.

After five seasons in which he collected 139 appearances and 4 goals, he said goodbye to Sampdoria to begin a new experience in the Premier League with West Ham. In England he played 116 games with 3 goals in 4 seasons before returning to Italy in the summer of 2019, to wear the Sassuolo jersey.

With the neroverde club, he confirmed himself as a midfielder with excellent vision of the game, adding to his resume five more consecutive championships in Serie A, where he reached a total of 182 appearances with 5 goals.

In the season just ended, he was captain and a major player in Sassuolo’s brilliant Promotion ride, which immediately returned to Serie A after relegation in 2024. He also boasts 19 appearances and 3 goals with Equatorial Guinea.
