Roland Garros, Boisson fairy tale ends: Coco Gauff in final

It’s over in the semifinals the fairy tale of Frenchwoman Lois Boisson: the transalpine tennis player, who incredibly arrived among the last four at Roland Garros, was defeated by the U.S. Coco Gauff, world number 2.
The number 361 in the WTA rankings, star of a splendid and unreal wild-card ride, paid the price for the emotion but above all the fatigues of the last few weeks, and collapsed hard against the American, who dominated the match, closing it in just over an hour.
Gauff came out on top 6-1, 6-2, thus handily clinching the Roland Garros final, where she will face Aryna Sabalenka, who came out victorious in the’other match against Iga Swiatek. The final between the world number one and number two is scheduled for next Saturday.
Boisson bids farewell after an incredible tournament, which saw her beat significantly better-ranked athletes such as Andreeva and Pegula in series.
